October 2018

A.EMPLOYMENT DISCRIMINATION

“Discrimination” in labor is strictly prohibited. However, the prevailing labor law of Vietnam has no regulation that specifies the exact legal definition of “discrimination”. In practice, circumstances constituting “discrimination” are often ambiguous leading employers to be confused as to whether their actions/decisions are discriminatory or not.

With typical examples, this insight will help you understand:

Some relevant legal grounds of the Vietnam law and the international convention over discrimination;

Criteria for identifying discrimination;

The burden of proving non-discrimination in disputes over discrimination; and

Administrative sanctions imposed on employment discrimination.

B. Q&A ON LABOR LAW

Financial support for the employee involved with non-occupational accident.

Injury assessment, investigation, report, allowance/compensation in case of occupational accident.

C. LEGAL UPDATES ON LABOR

Legal Updates from 25/8 to 24/10/2018.
