After receiving the request for arbitration and enclosed documents, when must the defendant submit the statement of defense and counterclaim (if any) to the Arbitration Center?

Unless otherwise agreed upon by the parties or provided by the arbitration center’s rules of proceedings, within 30 days after receiving a petition and enclosed documents, the defendant shall send the arbitration center a defense statement and counterclaim (if any). At the request of one party or all parties, this time limit may be extended by the arbitration center based on the specific circumstances of the case.
